NICER installations

General

NICER systems are fully automatically controlled, reactor-based reactive current compensations equipped with impregnated, harmonic-resistant capacitors of the H series.
Nicer systems are used in grids with heavy harmonic distortion as well as generally where the service life is meant to be a few decades.

Design and equipment

Switch cabinet: Sheet steel cabinet, colour RAL 7035, base 100 mm black, 50 mm panel, door hinge on the right side, lock DB 5 mm, protection class outside IP 40, roof IP 20C
Max. equipment fitting: 200 kVar or 4 condensers per cabinet unit
Modules: NICER module fitted with filter circuit chokes, switching contactors, busbar system and stage guard with NH-LTS 00
Reactive power controller: microprocessor-controlled, including under-voltage tripping, temperature monitoring, fan control and fault indication
Control switches: mounted in the door
Ventilation: from 50 kVar with fans in the roof sheet
Connection: from below or above on the connection kit
Line fuse: onsite
Current transformer: onsite, transformer ratio … / 5
Design: halogen-free
